My car is not keeping a charge on the battery and the altenator is good. How ever my brother-in-law and I changed out the racknpenion on the car and my brother-in-law took out the altenator and a wire came out of the plug. Since then the battery is drained and can't seem to keep a charge.

put the wire back in the plug as it probably activates the alternator so it can charge. charge your battery as well. if it continues to have problems check your battery for a draw. it's under repairs here on the site
