1996 Chevy Camaro Help. Engine light or motor

Engine problem
1996 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 96000 miles

1996 camaro 96,000 miles but motor 80% is new. I know sometimes if you dont put gas cap on right your servi. engine light will come on.
OK, I redid gas cap at least 6 times, It still on , then it started to blink off and on . Then stay on again. I was going up a hill and usen my cruis. control when my car started to skip when givin gas ( like spark plug does when u need to replace it ) the only time does that is when u are speeding up the after its fine. Its driven me crazy. I dont what is wrong.

First thing I will ask you to do is go to a autozone and have them read the trouble codes for free then post back, it will save you alot of headaches and some green backs if you do this simple step.

Id change plugs and wires. Also check the coil towers, you probably have burnt marks on some of them, you can clean them with wire brush. When check engine light flashes that means there is a serious misfire. I bet plugs and wires fixes it. Hope this helps
