1995 Chevy Camaro Service Engine Light/GAS

My serivice engine light just came on.
I always use BP93 Gas, But today I use Shell and mistake got 89 octane gas and after about 20 miles my service engine light came on could the be the cause?

I will use a code reader later on today when I wake up. I just got off work tonight and is 7:30am now.

Really just want to know if it could be this small issue?
any help would work.

I really doubt it. Do the scan and see what codes u get

Well I ran the scan and it came up with nothing.
I have since put 40miles on the car and the light was not return. I did hit some railroad tracks before the light 'lit up' do you think it could have been that.

I always did use the BP93 for 6 years with out using any other types or leves of gas.

I don't know this sounds quite strange. You said u hit a bump and the light came on? Have your knock sensor tested. And take a look at your motor mounts. Im thinking that you maybe getting a false reading from your knock sensor because you have a bad motor mount. Do you have any oil leaks?

No leaks that I know of.
The car runs great.

I did have the light come on about 2 years ago. When I use a lower octane of gas.
I took the car to a shop and the could not find anything then. The light never return then. After the first then until now, But since that night it has not lit up again.

Its strange but there is a possibility that the car was so used to the higher octane that when you put the lower octane in it that is kind of spit it back at u. Keep int touch just in case let me know how it goes
