I have a 1995 Camaro, 3.8 V6, 130,000 miles, the red brake light lit up on the dash. The car stopped fine now, but I am not driving it till I find out what this means. What does this mean? A simple brake job, or is it something else?

There are several things that can cause your brake light to come on.

1. Your parking brake is not releasing all the way.
2. Low brake fluid in your master cylinder reservoir.
3. To much brake travel due to defective master cylinder or improper brake adjustment.
4. Leaking brake fluid from master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, and brake hose.
5. Worn brake pad's or shoe's.
