is it safe for me to put my muffler directly under the gas tank?

there is nothing wrong with it.i just bought it and seen the guy i bought it from had ithe muffler directly under the gas tank.im wondering if that would heat my gas and start to give my fuel pump problems. do u think all this is potential?

They are relatively close to the fuel tank stock, but there is a ton of heat shields.I wouldnt worry too much iunless th eshields are gone or the muffler is really close to the tank
