Is it safe for me to put my muffler directly under the gas tank?

Not sure I would do it. What is wrong with the stock location?

There is nothing wrong with it.I just bought it and seen the guy I bought it from had ithe muffler directly under the gas tank. Im wondering if that would heat my gas and start to give my fuel pump problems. Do u think all this is potential?

They are relatively close to the fuel tank stock, but there is a ton of heat shields.I wouldnt worry too much iunless th eshields are gone or the muffler is really close to the tank
