Under hood, driver side, lower engine area, mounted on side of engine block. Faulty oil pressure switch will not cause issues with ignition. It will only cause inaccurate oil pressure readings and possible leaking of oil at the switch..

Hello, the oil pressure sensor has no control on your ignition/fuel system. It may be located close to your oil filter?

Some GM vehicles do use an oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit, my database didn't show that for your vehicle, but, even with models that do have that, the o/p switch a redundant power supply for the pump. As long as the pump relay is functional, the pump will run. I'm talking fuel injected gasoline vehicle.

Diesel, that may be a different story.
