1993 Camaro z28 Idles erratically when hot, After warming engine to normal operating temperature and shutting off ignition for several minutes and starting again the engine idles erratically and sometimes stalls, When driving at aprox. 3000 rpm engine seems to misfire and will not increase rpm. After allowing engine to cool for about 1 hour the car runs normally.
I have replaced and the ignition control module which solved the problem for about a month, when old ignition control module is put back in the car seems to be worse, what would be causing the engine or control module to fail.

on these cars when i have a problem with the ignition system i always rebuild the entinre distributor because i have been burnt too many times. i find the shaft in the middle of the distributor is most often the problem along with the pick up coil. i think you can but a remanufactured dist for not a lot of money. hope this helps
