my 91 camaro rs is sometimes hard to shift it grindes when it goes in to reverse, also 1st gear is the hardest to shift into. why is it hard to shift.

It sounds as if your clutch is going out. That and/or your shift linkage is loose, damaged or needs adjusted. You also might want to check the fluid level.
