Fuel pressure at rail is 42. While at idle. Push on gas easy and no pressure increase. Push on gas hard and pressure falls to 20. Car will lose power and shutter. Replaced fuel pump 5 months ago. Pressure would rise when you push on gas pedal. Now it falls. If you push hard goes to 20-10lbs and car shutters. Could it be the filter? The pump, or bad connector to harness losing volts. Please help.

Your pressure decrease could also be the cause of a failing fuel pressure regulator, or a sticking injector.

If the fuel pressure regulator is faulty, it won't allow fuel pressure to build up correctly. (Bleeding it back to the tank)

If an injector is sticking, it'll spray too much fuel and decrease pressure in the rail.

The best bet is the regulator.
