What would keep the battery from charging if the alternator is good on a 1989 camaro? The battery is good and the alternator has been tested but when I drive it the battery drains.

Check the FP fan fuse 20amp and also check wiring back to the charge light indicator

fp fan fuse is blown and is blows every time I turn the key on. What would cause that?

A short circuit somewhere on the brown wire at the alternator and charge indicator.
