Took my Iroc for a ride and was driving fine, then it felt like it kicked down into first and wont come out.
I drove it back home checked the fluid everything seemed fine, I took it for another spin around the block still did the same thing, I tried to find a diagram to drop the transmisson pan to check for metal, but no luck, I have talked to 3 or 4 garages that say different things that it could be, PLEASE HELP!
I do not want to replace the transmission if that is not the problem. It feels like it wants to shift but is stuck or something...

this could be the govenor is bad or tore the teeth up but it's best to take it toa trans shop and let them diagnose this.
