Was wondering if you guys could tell me what a code 43 from manually checking the mil, could possibly mean. The car is normally fine until i gun it or i use the ac and give it some gas, then the check engine light comes on and it runs like crap. Someone told me it was the ignition control module, does that make sense to you guys? Weird thing is my 94 Chevrolet truck with a 4.3 is throwing the same code but the engine light stays on? can you help?

Code 43 Electronic Spark Conrol ESC retard signal on for too long a time. This will cause retard in the EST signal. Possible causes include a faulty ESC module, wiring or ECM.
Most likely the ESC located in distributor is the culprit.
Hope this helps
