I recently purchased this car and it ran fine until the other day. The coolant overflow boils over and spills out through the cap whenever I go anywhere and it did this a little before but it was not that much.

Now the car gets hot pretty quickly and the coolant quickly boils out

Check to see if the cooling fan is comming on. At about 185+ temp the fan should be on. If you have fan could have a bad thermostat stuck shut not allowing coolant to flow through engine. So when you shut down thr pressure pushes the coolant out of the tank.
If the car has AC turn it on cooling fan should run.
Hope this helps
