1987 Chevy Camaro hesitation

My engine is hesitating here and there and seems to have lost hirsepower. If I let go of the gas pedal or push it hard it clears up. I changed the plugs, do you think its the fuel pump?

I doubt its the fuel pump but its not out of the question. You should start out by checking the fuel pressure. What engine do you have? 5.0.5.7? Also is it TPI, TBI or does it have a carb and what kind? The problem of hesitation could be caused by a number of things. You might want to check and clean the o2 sensor and change the fuel filter. If that dont fix it. Repost with the engine info and well get it fixed from there. Good Luck! :)
