1987 Chevy Camaro 87 camaro keeps shutting off

i have a 87 camaro with 87000 miles. it has been sitting for months. i recently started driving it but the gas guage is broke. the car ran out of gas. i put 2 gallons of gas in it and it worked for a day. now the car doesnt want to turn over. and if it does it stalls right away. what can i do?

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter and fuel pump
