86 camaro 1st and reverse good when it shifts to second there is nothing

With the miles you say it has, it does not look good, but we will try. If this particular car has a kickdown cable, check the adjustment, it might not shift if it's out of adjustment. did you try driving it and shifting it manually ? Try that. I hope you checked the trans fluid by the way. Good luck. mickey-d
