i have an 85 z28 T.P.i it recently stopped running before it stopped running i checked the fuel pressure and it was low. i asked a couple of mechanics and friends what it could be and most of em are saying its the fuel pump that needs to be replaced and one said its either the fuel pump or the oil pressure sensor so i dont know what it could be because the car doesnt run and i cant take it to get checked any information will be helpful. thank you.

If you tested the fuel pressure, and it was low, try putting a small amount of gas into the throttle body and see if it starts, if not the sensor is only 20-30 dollars. How low was the pressure?

Is it tuned port, or the spray nozzle tbi? If it's tuned port that is too low for the engine to run! 14psi would be OK for the nozzle(carb) type.

I agree on the fuel pump pressure is low, but the pressure regulator should also be checked at least for signs of fuel in the vacuum line. What do you mean by maximum 180,000 miles?
