1984 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

My 1985 Camaro with T5 manual transmission has a hard shift 1-2, I have heard lts of info about different fluid to use the latest is to use GM synchromesh fluid. I have heard good things about Redline D4-ATF and Redline MTL. The car is original with 40K miles. THE fulid was changed using ATF when I first got it 4 years ago.

Hard shift? Do you mean difficult to move shifter? Will not engage 2 gear without force? Any noise associated?

The shift is harder going into 2nd than 3rd 4th or 5th. There is no noise, shifter moves freely, just harder to actually engage.

I have an 84 Z28 got it new was hard to shift also. If you tried to shift fast no go. Had to dealer many times no help. I installed a Center Force clutch and problem solved better acceleration and could shift like lighting. As you tried different fluids and additives no improvement. Hope this helps.
