I have a 2.8 liter V6 camaro and the carb. Is giving me trouble, insted of fixing it I can get one fom a friend thats good. Now hears what I need to know his carb. Came off of a 1982 citation 2.5 liter will it work ok? It will mount i've already tried it, it mounts perfect on the intake, but will it perform ok on my motor? I also have a choice of a 1980 monza carb. It will mount too but will it be ok? Its a 2.5 as well. Thanks

Hi:
No the carb won't work properly. Not only will there be vacuum problems, I question how the carb will work on the V6. I recommend staying with the exact carb that came on the car. Otherwise, you may end up with other problems.

Well I didn't have much choice( had to get to work) so I tried the carburetor, it works great all vaccume lines hook up, mounts perfect on the intake. Runs real good, I was told by a friend, chevrolet used the same rochester carbs. For their 2.5 and 2.8 liter engines I guess he was right. So far its going good.

Hi:
That is good news. I'm very reluctant to recommend anything other than exact replacement because they change things so often.
