1969 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I screwed up royally when I tried to replace the air filter rod coming out of the carb. I dropped the nut into the carb. Any ideas on how to fish it out?

Hello, can you see the nut? If the throttle valve was closed, it shouldn't have went past the throttle valve.
The autostores sell a long reach magnetic tool, it's made for picking up stuff you drop and can't reach.

I couldn't see the nut; but it was getting dark. I picked up a magnetic pen at the parts store. Going to give it a whirl when I get home from work. Thanks!
