We recently put a new engine 2.8l V6 in and the oil pressure reads about 30 to 40 on the gauge at idle. But as soon as you increase the rpms the gauge goes out of site( as high as it can go) and stays there.

What would cause the oil pressure to be too high and how do I get it back down?
