1983 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

i have a 83 berlinetta camaro with a 305 5.0lv8 comes stock with a manual trans. First owner destroyed the trans. I bought the car and would like to convert it to and automatic. Any healthy advice on any automatic transmissions that will fit my car?

Keep it a stick as you'll have to get another computer if you switch to an automatic. It will be alot of work to switch to an auto. But if you are going to punish yourself go wth a 700R4. You cna't go with a newer model however as the usual thing computer hookups.
