1982 Chevy Camaro putting and shutting off

I was wondering what could make my car puterr and shut off at times . Ive just did a tune up spark plugs, cap roter,wires oil change tranny fluid. IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A WHILE AND MY BUDDY TOLD ME IT COULD BE CADILA CONVERTER CLOGGED . What else could I do TO help get it back in shape

For the sake of conversation i will assume this is a fuel injected eng most likely 2.8. if this is correct you need to check the fuel pressure. this sounds like a fuel pump or an ignition module. but you have to know when it stalls ,what it is missing fuel or spark..

its missingn pressure and it acts lik it doesnt want to start at times
