Master cylinder have a residual valve?

Does the master cylinder have a residual valve built inside the master cylinder, to maintain 2LB's pressure on front disc brakes only.

it's possible the front hoses have collapsed inside making a check valve of sorts.

No the brake master does not hold pressure for the front brake, here is a guide to help you with the problem of the brake sticking on.
