1969 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

We rebuilt the engine and after re-installing it into the car we tried to turn it over but it felt like it was binding somewhere. so after changing the timing we got it to start and idle but it makes a loud high pitch 'clacking' sound. what is it and how do i get it to stop?

get the compression tested on it before running it anymore. just wanna know if you bent anythingi from trying to start car with timing off.
