I hit a rather large pothole and after that my car won't start. I get full interior power, and when I do the old chevy trick on the starter(screwdriver+sparks!) it turns but does not engage the flywheel.

My thoughts are it is either a fuseable link or the starter solenoid. It has the customary electronic ignition most classics get installed aftermarket. Also it has a Viper alarm system installed and I am wondering if perhaps I messed its internal shock sensor up. In that, I disconnected the leads that control the starter kill and I still get nothing. I have went through and check my wiring harness and have found no burned wires or issues with it.

I have a decent knowledge of car repairs but I am having trouble identifying this problem. I don't really want to tow it down to my mechanic because I have a feeling this is a very simple fix from my groundwork.

I would check the neutral safety switch and the wires going to it. Also, just for the heck of it, hold the key in the crank position and slowly move the shifter through the gears. You might get lucky and it will start. If so, it's the neutral safety switch.

If this is not your problem and you are still in need of answers, here is another idea.....you may have a problem with your flywheel.
