1967 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I'm looking for a diagram that will help me replace the points and condenser in my 67 Camaro. The engine is a 327 it that helps. I've never done this before and would really like to attempt this but I know if I somehow reinstall the distributor incorrectly the engine wont run properly. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi there,

If you wish to remove the distributor to do this, set the engine up on No 1 cylinder TDC. so the timing mark is at 0 deg and the rotor is pointing to No 1 cylinder. with the cap off mark the distributor body with a touch of white paint so you can re align the rotor to the exact same spot when you re fit it, if you don't turn the engine over you will have no problems setting what is call static timing, the ignition timing will have to be re checked anyway as it will alter with the new points fitted, but not enough to stop it from starting.
