I have a '97 Chevy Blazer, 167k miles, auto trans, 4.3L engine, 4wd. Just changed the alternator, now no air blows out of the vents, seems to be stuck in defrost/floor mode. Last time this happened, it was the vacuum accumulator. Chiltons doesn't show how to check if that's the problem. Any advice?

There is vacumm line that runs right behind the alternator. Follow that line to see if it came off. I think that the vacumm canister is probably disconnected. If you dont see that line then look for a vacumm ine coming from the firewall on the passanger side and follow it to see where it goes...
