hello, I have a 2003 chev. blazer 4x4, 4.3 v6
there is a loud tapping sound when i first start the engine it will go away after the engine is warm.Thought at first might be the wrong oil type (used 10w30 instead of 5w30) now the oil pressure gauge is going to 80 instead of the normal 40-60 when cold. motor has 86,000 miles.any ideas?
thank you for your time

when you start the blazer, the oil is sitting in the pan and the lifters are making the tapping as the oil lubricates the lifters and the sound stops. the valve adjustment should be checked.
