Hey,
I have a 1997 chevy blazer 4.3 75000 miles. I recieved a Po300 Code. My mecanics said that they cant figure out what actually is going on. They know what the code means. I drive to college and about 70 mph on the interstate. By the time I drive 100 miles, my rpms are normal at 2200. they like to jump up too 2500 when driving at 70mph after a period of time. I get bad gass millage. Im guessing its the plugs and wires. I dont know for sure. My rpm tach jumps around between 2400-2600 while driving that fat and it seams like its chugging? Plz help Thanks

There are many reasons for the po 3000 code. You are best to take it to a shop that can diagnose that code. I can throw all sorts of possibilites but that would not be in your best interest.

Hey yes i have taken it to a mechanic shop. I was wondering if you guys thought it was a spark plug issue, and wires and coils? Iv had them clean the injectors, and they gave me some full system cleaning slution to put in my fuel. I did that and it helped out a little. then i drove down to college and while on the interstate, i was running 70mph and rpms at 2200 then it went up to 2500-2600 rpms the diagnosis was rapid missfire. Im hoping that its the spark plugs and wires. if you can help out that would be awesome! thanks

My very first suspicion on this would be the distributer cap and rotor.

Next would be spider assy for the fuel inection or a fuel line that ruptures underneath the intake.

Weak fuel pump would be the third suspicion.

First thing i would check is the brake light switch, make sure all wires are connected. Then check on tranny and confirm all conections are good. If all electiral connections are good sounds like you need a new overdirve soliniod. When they get old they tend to get sticky once the tranny gets warmed up.
