I have a 01 chevy blazer with 82k miles and the 4.3 v6 engine. The other morning, I got in my car and before I put the key in the ignition, I noticed the brights indication light was on. So, I tried to turn it over with no joy, I just heard clicking. It finally turned over after I jumped it. However, once it was running in idle, the speedometer stuck at 10 mph, the tach stuck at 1k rpms, the digital shift indicator was not working, the odometer was not lit up, the service 4x4 light was on (my model doesn't even have 4 wheel drive), the check battery light is on and the brights light is on (and no my brights aren't on and the check gauges light is lit up.I'm very confused. My truck won't start and when it does the tach and speedo gauges work as advertised. I apologize for the lengthy post, can anybody help me?

Without checking it myself I can tell you we had problems with the ignition switches (electronic part ) that caused this problem but it may be the switch too
