Blazer Axle/Joint Problems

Hi, my 1993 Chevy S-10 Blazer (89,000 mi) has recently been making a very loud popping sound when I make left turns, and pops again when when I straighten it out. What does this mean? It feels like its "shoulder" is "dislocating". I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!
