automatically goes to Auto 4 wh drive

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer...several days ago was going down the street when it automatically went into Auto 4 wh dr/ neutral/ 4HI & 4LO.....all those lights display on the dash....after some time they will blink and the vehicle will jerk some???? I am lost ....it will has difficulty shifting

My brother has been asking around....seems it could be a switch within the dash causing either a short or just going bad that needs replaced....gonna try that first before taking to a mechanic on Saturday....

Will wait to see if anyone responds to my question

When first start in the am it is in the normal 2Hi....then go a short distance and the lights will flick on and off and then all the lights but the 2HI are on....
