ABS light and brake light on at same time

I recently had the same problem after getting new brakes done on my blazer. If you hook it up to a diagnostics machine, you'll probably get code 38: wheel speed signal malfunction. I was told it had something to do with an abs sensor, but they also said they were getting a code 38 as well. (Les schwab)

I was informed yesterday by the dealer that my electric brake control module was gone and needed to be replaced at the cost of $1000.00 which won't be happening anytime soon. I was also informed that eventually I was going to have to replace it.

I bought my blazer brand new, 2001 and currently has approximately 56,000 miles on it. :X
