replaced motor with a new rebuilt unit. Had and corrected many electrical problems. Just replaced crank position senor, neutral/park safety switch, battery and starter as well. Now it will not start for the 30 min run time required. It hardly turns over some of the time. It will start to run for about 2 or 3 seconds and stop again. Not long enough for me to stop cranking it. I can hear the fuel pump prime and it smells of gas on the exhaust, so its getting fuel.

Try leaving the key in the run position for 1/2 hour, turn it off and try to start it, see what happens computer may have lost security info from key and needs to relearn

I found the problem. It was the lack of the reluctor wheel. My and my brother have never messed with a motor that new that would have one. It started right up after that was replaced.

I started it and let it run its first 30 minutes today. No major problems. And no ses light. The harmonic balancer is a bit wobly, but im going to tighten that up along with a bunch of other bolts. Then its good to go! I hope.
