reverse light switch location?

Where is the back up light switch and can I get at it to adjust it. I looked under neath and removed the console but could not remove the shift lever boot.

the the back-up switch is actually integral with the Park/Neutral Position Switch , which is located on the left side of the transmission. If back up lamps are not working and you have traced it to the switch, the switch will most likely need replaced. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

For an automatic the reverse lamps is part of neutral switch. On top of steering column, under the dash. I dont have remove/install procedure. Everything should be in neutral. The tang on the switch should go down in hole on the steering column. Some adjustment may be required by moving the switch one way or the other.

I forgot to ask, did you check applicable fuses and wiring circuits?
