2004 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

What should it cost for parts and labor to replace my alternator. Also, what should it cost to have my alternator checked?

Most parts stores will check your alt for free. If the car still runs, drive it there. If it isn't running, remove the alt and they can bench test it.

As far as a cost, figure the alt should be under 200.00 and labor about 1 hour.

NOTE: It isn't hard to replace. You can do it yourself if you have some basic tools. If you want me to, I can provide you with the directions. Also, if you have a volt meter, here is a "how to" for checking it yourself. It is easy to do. Check if out and let me know what you decide.
