2003 Chevy Blazer PO455 Large Evaporator Leak ?

Mechanic want 100.00 to find leak and more to repair. Any idea what this problem is and what can be done. Service engine light is on, I've reset it but it come back on in about 2-300 miles.

possible gas cap leaking. see if it seems loose when you tighten it. also possible vent valve leaking. that is located in the vent hose for the gase tank.
