My driver side windshield wiper does not work. The motor that turns the wiper is working but it seems like the part that attaches to the wiper is stripped. What is that part called and can I attach it myself?

You can try to tighten it down, sometimes it works. But it is called a wiper transmission. Some of them can be repaired, some you have to replace the whole unit. Call your local dealer and see if they can tell you if it is repairable or not.

I know what the issue is, but I do not know how to remove the wiper from the spindle to tighten the nut to fix it. What is the secret to removing cover so I can get to the nut?

Are you referring to the wiper arm or linkage under the cowl?

I have the Trailblazer Edition. The windshield wipers do not work. When I turn the wipers on it make sounds and looks like it wants to go up but does not. What do you think is wrong with it?

Check to make sure the arms are properly attached to the shaft that comes through the cowl. If they are and nothing is stripped, you need to remove the cowl and check the linkage. Something may have come disconnected.
