Noises problem
2002 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My Blazer has the push button 4 wheel drive feature. and it says it is in 4 hi but it is actually only in 2 wheel drive, and it is making a loud grinding noise like the hubs are halfway engaged. i can't get it to go back to 2 wheel drive by pushing the button. is there anyway to fix this without spending hundreds of dollars?

Hi there,

I would be thinking that the problem is in the selector in the transfer, the grinding dose not go well for keeping the job repair down to a low $$$ mark, the more you hear it grind the more damage it is doing, get this looked at ASAP as i feel that there is some serious damage going on while it is driving in this manor.
