I was just wondering what could be causing a rough idle in my 02 chevy s10 blazer? It runs just fine, but when the car is still, it will idle pretty hard and it will drop from 600 rpm's to about 300 for about one second then it will go back. Any suggestions?

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:

.Defective spark plug
.Inadequate spark/coil,defective spark plug wire.
.Lack of compression
.False air leakage.
.Faulty fuel injectors.
.Insufficient fuel pressure.
.Contaminated fuel.
.EGR valve that is leaking.
.Oxygen sensors.
.Throttle position sensor.
.Idle air control valve.
