2001 Chevy Blazer Won't go into 4 wheel drive

Tried to use the four wheel drive today in the snow, sounds like it wants to engage but the light on the switch panel just flashes when you push the button. It did not go into 4x4 because I am stuck in my yard.

there is a code stored in the 4x4 module. you need to have it scanned to see what the problem is.
