My chevy blazer seems to need a new water pump. It has been a while since I knew I needed it, and now the car smoke and overheats.

Can you tell me the average cost of a water pump, and what the residule damages could be from not replacing it soon enough?

price depends on where you take it "dealer or private garage" but i would suggest having it done soon and stop driving it with low coolant, you can damage the cylinder head
