Brakes problem
2001 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 105000 miles
My mechanic has told me that I need to have work done on just my rear brakes that will cost six to eight hundred dollars. He says that there is a "plate" that holds the brakes together and housed the parking brake and the plate needs replaced. According to him, the axle needs to be disconnected in order to do the work. My neighbor, who has replaced brakes on this model of Blazer, says that doesn't make sense.
I have a 2001 Blazer with the zr2 suspension.
