2001 Chevy Blazer loud hum or whine

The Blazer has a loud hum coming from the back end. Sounds like under the trunk area. It does it in park and in drive. Can't hear it from the engine area. Any ideas what is wrong?

Hello,

Since you can hear it while the vehicle is in park then check for a Exhaust Leak, it will be towards the back end. If you cannot find a leak then take a rubber mallet and tap ong the muffler if you hear rattling then you will need to replace the muffler to end the noise.
