2001 Chevy Blazer domlights wont work

When I open the doors the domlights wont work. When I push in the dom override the lights come on but will not shut off

does the door ajar warning light in dash stay on when all doors are shut?

no the light in the dash is not on

this indicates a fault with the domelight switch , check wiring to switch if its good than replace switch
