2001 Chevy Blazer acceleration

my wifes blazer has no acceleratio at all. i mean with the pedal to the floor it acts like it is towing a semi truck. any suggestions ?

Loosen the exhaust before the cat converter to see if you have restrictive exhaust.It will be loud, but it will run ok if the cats are the problem

are you saying that a restricted cat could be the problem ?? unhooking it is the only way to determine if it is a restricted cat ?

It isn the only way, a backpressure gauge can be installed to see if it has too much, loosening the pipes is a quick way of seeing if it is the problem, and it is something you can do yourself
