I have a 2000 chevy blazer and it barely starts every morning. It takes about 10-15 cranks for it to kick in. Once it has started though I usually don't have any problems after that until the next morning. It has been less than a year since i replaced the fuel filter. In the last 3 weeks I did a complete tune-up: new spark plugs, oil filter, spark plug wires. I replaced the air temperature sensor. I did the three step fuel injection cleaning. I am still having the same problem with the starts in the morning.

I used a code scanner from autozone and everything came up fine. Lately my service engine light will appear on some starts but then immediately turn off.

Please Help!!!! Does anyone have a clue on what I should check next?

I have the same exact problem. The problem is the fuel pump. The fuel pump will turn on but the check valve in the fuel pump is leaking. So when it sits all night it leaks out and when our cranking it over its putting gas where it had leaked out. You actually wouldnt even have to crank it over. Just try turing the key and letting it sit for 5 seconds and turning it off and repeat that for about 5-10 times and it will start. The only way to fix that is buy a new fuel pump. Orielly Auto parts has the cheapest one and it runs about $259.99. The labor cost in a shop is about $100 to $150 depending on the mechanic. The pain is dropping the tank and the nozzles on the fuel pump break real easy so you have to be extra carefull. I would recomend having someone do it that has done it on one of those vehicles before cause the store wont except a return if those nozzles are broke and they break really easy. I guarantee thats the problem. I bet you run your tank real low right? Well I made the same mistake twice now and Ive had to replace 2 of them cause Im to cheap to keep my vehicle full all the time. Those fuel pumps get real hot when they are on empty.
