2000 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Manual 162000 miles

there is a knocking in the engine when I start it and while it is in motion someone told me it was a bad rod and to get another engine, just looking for a 2nd opinion thank you

You should probably get it to a shop and have them take a listen to it.
