2000 Chevy Blazer Emergency Brake line

I recently tried to release my emergency brake and the line started to spray fluid. Upon looking at my brake lines I discovered that it was only the emergency line on the driver side. I am wondering if i can remove the line and just cap the line from the caliper. If i do this will my rear brakes function fine? Thank you for your help

NO,do not cap the line,Repair it and bleed the system
